We have been so blessed growing up:  warm houses, blankets, fires in the fireplace, family dinners, and the ability to get a college degree.  As we get married, we look back on these blessings, realizing that many children in the world never get the opportunities that we have had.  As a result, we would like to do something different for our registry… we would like to give to organizations that are helping children who are struggling to have their basic needs met.  We ask that our guests give to the organizations as our wedding gift.  The link below is a website that allows charites to be on your wedding registry (there is a processing fee), or if simply mailing us a check made out to one of the organizations below is easier feel free. 

If you would like to get us a gift, we have registered for some home items at Target and Amazon.com.  Also, we are saving up money to buy a queen mattress, a DSLR camera, kayaks, and eventually a backpacking honeymoon.  We would love checks or cash to help us make these purchases. However, when it comes down to it, the things on our registry are things that we want, not things that we need so please do consider donating in our honor to help provide for kids in need.
